Crowns Bridges
Crowns and bridges are permanent tooth-like prosthetics designed
to replace missing or broken teeth. Crowns are used to replace
single teeth that are usually decayed beyond the point of
restoration by normal filling or bonding. Bridges are used
to replace a series of broken or missing teeth. Crowns and
bridges are usually made of a metal substructure for strength
covered by porcelain to give a natural tooth-like appearance.
Also available at American Dental Service are gold and all
porcelain crown and bridges. Both crowns and bridges look
and feel very much like natural teeth and are cared for in
similar ways (brushing, etc.).
Crowns and bridges can usually be made in as little as two
visits following a consultation. Upon the determination that
crowns and / or bridge work is a necessary or desirable option,
you will be scheduled for a prep and temporary fitting. The
temporary crown or bridge is designed to allow normal function
of the tooth during the period of time while the final crown
or bridge is being fabricated. The final visit is the insertion
visit. At this visit the dentist will permanently cement the
crown or bridge in place, leaving you with a beautiful restoration
of the affected tooth or teeth. When cared for properly, some
crowns and bridges have been known to last a lifetime.
All of American Dental Services' crowns and bridges are constructed of the highest quality materials available and carry a two-year warranty against breakage.
